S.A.F.E. PROGRAM COACH
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the S.A.F.E. Schools Administrators, for the K-8 After School Program, to plan, develop, organize and support the professional development needs of site facilitator and classroom activity specialist in the after school program; and due other related work as may be required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide support and assistance to all site facilitators and classroom activity specialist in the form of modeling, coaching, and direct feedback;
- Participate in planning and implementing professional development for all S.A.F.E. Schools employees under the direction and guidance of S.A.F.E. Administrators;
- Visit sites daily during after school programs;
- Prepares reports on daily site visits for administrators;
- Assists site facilitators in scheduling and monitoring of each sites classroom activity specialists;
- Meet regularly with S.A.F.E. Schools Administrators to provide input to sites parent and school site needs;
- Attends meetings and trainings as directed;
- Serve as a resource in identifying appropriate transitional and instructional strategies for effective after school Lit Art Curriculum, Art, Music, Homework and P.E. programs.

EDUCATION
High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 1 year as an effective site facilitator or classroom activity specialist;
- Past attendance at S.A.F.E. Schools and Regional Professional Development Classes desired;
- Attended S.A.F.E. Schools trainings;
- Presenting and/or coaching adults desired;
- Post High School Education;
- Meet requirements of No Child Left Behind Act with possession of AA degree or above or pass District No Child Left Behind assessment test.
PHYSICAL DEMAND AND WORKING CONDITIONS
The physical requirements indicted below are examples of the physical aspects that this position classification must perform in carrying out the essential job junctions.
Physical Demands: Walk, look downward, turn neck (up to continuously) sit, bend (frequently); stand, stoop, squat, reach, push, pull, (occasionally) kneel, crawl. Climb (infrequently): grasp/manipulate materials & supplies (continuously); lift items to 10 pounds (frequently, carry to 10 pounds (occasionally, lift/carry to 40 pounds (infrequently); use seeing, hearing and speaking (continuous). Ability to drive vehicles during hours of darkness.
Working Conditions: Indoor classrooms and workspaces, exposure to: office equipment noises, driving mountain road, temperature changes, dust, pesticides and smoke (seasonally).
