ASB Director/Certificated Teacher
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the site principal or designee, plans, organizes, coordinates, and supervises the school’s Associated Student Body (ASB), student leadership, co-curricular programs, student activities, assemblies, rallies, dances, recognition programs, and other schoolwide events. Promotes positive school culture, student engagement, leadership development, and inclusive participation opportunities for all students. Ensures student activities and ASB operations are conducted in accordance with District policies, California Education Code, Associated Student Body accounting procedures aligned with the FCMAT ASB Manual, and applicable state and federal laws. Provides training, supervision, and leadership to student organizations, student leaders, advisors, and assigned personnel. Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinates and supervises all Associated Student Body (ASB) programs, student leadership activities, clubs, organizations, assemblies, rallies, dances, lunchtime activities, and schoolwide events;
- Teaches and supervises the ASB/Student Leadership class as assigned;
- Teaches other leadership classes as assigned by the administration, as needed;
- Develops student leadership capacity through training, mentorship, leadership development activities, retreats, conferences, and workshops;
- Coordinates and supervises student activities, including but not limited to graduation-related activities, recognition events, and commencement ceremonies;
- Collaborates with administration, athletics, counselors, club advisors, students, families, and community partners to support a positive school culture and climate;
- Supervises and monitors ASB finances in accordance with District procedures, California Education Code, audit requirements, and Associated Student Body accounting guidelines as outlined int he FCMAT ASB Manual;
- Works collaboratively with ASB Clerks, site administration, and Fiscal Services to maintain accurate financial records, internal controls, fundraising documentation, deposits, budgets, purchase approvals, and audit compliance;
- Coordinates student elections, voting procedures, and implementation of student government processes and constitutions in accordance with District policies and law;
- Maintains the student body activities calendar and coordinates scheduling of student events;
- Attends evening and weekend activities, meetings, and events as required;
- Assists with student registration;
- Maintains certifications in relation to Riverside County Health Department (snack bar), as needed;
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the site administrator.

- Associated Student Body (ASB) laws, accounting procedures, fundraising regulations, and internal controls;
- Leadership development strategies and student engagement practices;
- School culture and climate improvement practices;
- Budget development, expenditure control, and financial reporting procedures;
- Applicable California Education Code, District policies, and student conduct regulations.
ABILITY TO:
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise comprehensive student activities programs;
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and community members;
- Communicate effectively in oral and written form;
- Work with and coordinate with outside agencies and vendors;
- Maintain accurate financial and activity records;
- Analyze problems, develop appropriate solutions, and exercise sound judgment;
- Work collaboratively and effectively under pressure while managing multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
EDUCATION:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required; a Master’s degree is desirable.
CREDENTIALS AND LICENSES:
- Valid California Single Subject or Multiple Subject teaching credential;
- English Learner Authorization required;
- Valid California Driver’s License;
- Required to possess and maintain all licenses during the course of employment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Demands: Sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive hand activities for extended periods of time; lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds regularly; extensive use of computers, telephones, and communication devices; visual acuity to read printed materials and computer screens; hearing and speaking to communicate in person and by phone.
Working Conditions: Indoor office, classroom, gymnasium, stadium, cafeteria, outdoor campus environments, and off-site event locations. Exposure to seasonal weather conditions, crowds, noise, traffic, and extended work hours, including evenings and weekends. Travel between District sites may be required.
