PURPOSE of District Elementary P.E. Coordinator:

Provide collaboration opportunities and alignment amongst the elementary P.E. teachers to provide equitable opportunities for all students. 

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of District Elementary P.E. Coordinator: 

1. Lead Elementary P.E. district-wide collaboration 4 times per year.

2. Provide monthly opportunities for Elementary P.E. teacher collaboration

3. Support the District in the development of plans, curriculum documents, and program assessments. 

4. Support the vertical articulation of elementary P.E. through middle school and high school.  

5. Assist teachers in the implementation of curriculum and best instructional practices

6. In collaboration with District administration, lead and support the professional learning of the elementary P.E. teachers.

7. Serve as a communication liaison with site and district administration

8. Participate in District-level collaboration events and training as needed. 

9. Assist with the scheduling and completion of the Physical Fitness Test.  Provide P.E. teachers training administration of the PFT.  

10. Use data from the PFT and other sources to evaluate the P.E. program and provide recommendations to positively impact the results of the program. 

11. Assist with the coordination of the District-wide Elementary Track Meet.

12. Foster professional and respectful relationships with all stakeholders.
