What You will be doing:

  • Be a master and company expert of the product and the software code behind it
  • Build and maintain features within the product and understand its impact and implications on the product and users
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by users and team
  • Understand and articulate how user needs translate to product features and vice versa
  • Train and guide internal and external users on the system
  • Work with customers to guide product implementation including understanding their requirements and configuring the application accordingly
  • Lead and support internal teams on the product and translate technical knowhow to plain English
  • Guide the development team’s effort to work on building and maintaining the software and help prioritize features and bug fixes
  • Import and export complex data and do data transformations using SQL Server
  • Write intermediate to advanced SQL queries and views for creating reports, extracting data or importing data into SQL Server
  • Build and support integrations with Helios to other systems using data files, APIs and other mechanisms
  • Test applications, identify issues, and implement fixes
  • Manage DevOps operations for ensuring smooth running and updates of the production and development environments
  • Ensure performance and security of all applications by testing and analyzing for bottlenecks and fixing the different parts of the applications

What You need to have:

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in writing SQL Server queries, stored procedures, functions, and views
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in .NET Core, C# or similar object oriented programming languages, and JavaScript
  • Knowledge of React preferred
  • Experience in Windows, IIS, and SQL server administration preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to import, export data, and do data transformations in SQL Server
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Knack for working with users and making them happy and satisfied with the product
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver quality code in time and budget with thorough testing and comments/documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, technology, or a related field required
  • 5+ years’ experience in writing advanced SQL queries and data integrations/ETL with SQL and 5+ years experience in hands-on coding in C# and JavaScript – this is an absolute requirement. Since this is an advanced level position we are unable to train on SQL or programming.
  • Experience with creating reports using RDLC, or other reporting tools preferred
