High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with children preferred. Ability to follow directions and district safety protocols. Compassionate, patient, and respectful in supporting young children. Ability to lift and assist students when necessary.

The Elementary Care Assistant supports the health, hygiene, and personal needs of students in grades PK–5. This position ensures that children are cared for with dignity and respect, while assisting school staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive learning environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist students with restroom needs, accidents, or other hygiene-related concerns. Provide support for students who require extra assistance with clothing, handwashing, or grooming. Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in areas where incidents occur, following district safety and health protocols. Respond promptly and compassionately to student needs while preserving their privacy and dignity. Monitor and supervise students as assigned to ensure safety and well-being. Collaborate with teachers, nurses, and support staff to meet student needs. Assist with student transitions (e.g., escorting to/from classroom, clinic, or specials as needed). Maintain confidentiality regarding student health and personal information. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or supervisor. Working Conditions May involve exposure to bodily fluids. Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Works closely with students, staff, and families in a school environment.
