About This Role:

Our Regional School Psychologist plays a critical role in ensuring all students across multiple CWC LA campuses are supported academically, socially, and behaviorally, and emotionally. This role partners closely with teachers, families, school leaders, and our regional Special Education team to deliver timely assessments, develop high-quality IEPs, and support inclusive learning environments.

Key Responsibilities: 

Direct Student Support & Services

  • Provide direct services to individuals and groups (e.g., counseling, crisis response, mentoring, safety plans), demonstrating strong communication, relationship building, and equity-centered practice

  • Develop and implement IEP social-emotional and behavioral goals using varied service-delivery models that support inclusive classroom environments

  • Monitor and document student progress using clear, detailed, timely and compliant practices

 

Assessment, Compliance, & Case Management

  • Conduct high-quality formal assessments in the areas of cognition, academic functioning, adaptive behavior, and social-emotional development with a strong commitment to accuracy, excellence, and equity

  • Draft comprehensive, culturally responsive assessment reports and present findings clearly families and teams

  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise to guide teams toward student-centered, legally compliant decisions

  • Maintain accurate and timely records, IEP documentation, assessment timelines, and regional reporting needs, demonstrating organizational excellence and attention to detail

 

Collaboration & Team Partnerships

  • Collaborate with teachers, service providers, and school leadership to ensure strong implementation of IEPs and aligned supports across classrooms

  • Provide classroom strategies and consultation to promote social-emotional learning, inclusive practices, and behavior support

  • Serve as a key member of the regional Special Education team - including RSP Teachers, Speech-Language Pathologists, OTs, Counselors, Behavioral staff, and regional leadership-demonstrating cross-functional collaboration, adaptability, and community-mindedness

 

Family & Community Engagement

  • Communicate proactively and compassionately with families regarding assessments results, student progress, and recommended supports

  • Help build trusting, culturally responsive partnerships that honor family voice and promote shared decision-making

  • Navigate multiple priorities across campuses with flexibility, initiative, and problem-solving, thriving in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment

  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Qualifications: 

 

Required

  • Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential

  • Demonstrated success supporting diverse student populations

  • Strong assessment, counseling, report-writing, and collaboration skills

  • Ability to travel between multiple campuses 

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities

 

Preferred

  • Experience in charter schools or multi-site roles

  • Fluency in a second language, ideally Spanish or Korean

  • Experience with crisis intervention and restoration practices
