About This Role:
The Seasonal Outreach Assistant is a high-energy, results-driven role that turns outreach into action. During our busiest seasons, this position fuels enrollment and engagement through high-volume calls, texts, emails, and social media outreach. The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys talking with families and building meaningful connections. Beyond family communication, the Outreach Assistant engages with community members and external partners to strengthen our brand, expand volunteerism and fundraising, and deepen relationships with current and prospective families. We’re seeking someone with a persuasive, proactive mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by making an immediate impact.Key Responsibilities:
Outreach and Student Enrollment:

Conduct high-volume outreach (calls, texts, emails, app messaging and social media) with prospective and current families

Manage and track leads and engagement in digital applications and platforms, such as SchoolMint, Salesforce, Aeries, other databases and spreadsheets ensuring accurate tracking and timely follow-up.

Provide clear, welcoming guidance to new and returning families on application steps, documentation, and deadlines.

Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure consistent, accurate communication is being shared.
Community Engagement:

Represent CWC-LA at local events and in the community to increase visibility and build connections.

Conduct canvassing, postering, and flyering activities to drive awareness and interest.

Support school-hosted events and initiatives (open houses, info sessions, events) to strengthen engagement.

Build relationships with community partners to expand enrollment pipelines, fundraising initiatives and programmatic opportunities.
Data and Compliance:

Follow up with families to gather missing documentation or input

Complete data entry, paperwork, and general administrative tasks as assigned.

Maintain accurate outreach records to support enrollment, engagement, and reporting needs.
Special Projects:

Contribute to short-term projects and initiatives as assigned to support organizational priorities.

Assist with cross-team efforts that may include outreach campaigns, fundraising activities, event logistics, or community partnerships.

Provide flexible support on emerging needs to ensure goals are met during peak seasons.

Qualifications:
Required:

High School Diploma
-
2+ years of relevant or transferable work experience
-
Proficient with Office and Google Suite; comfortable learning new systems
-
Strong communicator with excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management
-
Outstanding attention to detail, efficiency, and project management
-
Flexible, adaptable, and able to work evenings/weekends
-
Creative, innovative, and skilled in sales/recruitment
-
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for LA school site travel
-
Aligned with and model CWC’s mindset and core values

Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, including presentations and information exchange

About 50% of time spent sitting; frequent walking, standing, and bending required

Occasionally stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling

Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds unassisted

Extended periods of sitting or standing; manual dexterity to operate computers and office equipment

Prolonged speaking and listening as part of daily work

Ability to adapt to varied work environments, including offices, schools, and outdoor settings
Preferred

Bilingual in Spanish, Russian, or Korean strongly preferred.

Background in school enrollment, recruitment, sales, admissions, or community engagement

Associate’s degree or higher
- Experience in education or charter school settings
