Role Overview:
CWC LA is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Grants & Compliance Manager to lead grant management, fiscal compliance, and development data streams by spearheading our cross-departmental efforts to steward our funds, families, and strategic efforts for all of our schools. This role requires efficiency, adaptability, and a willingness to collaborate in order to be an efficient and effective resource for our schools and growing population.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in data systems, grant management, and compliance but also deeply committed to the mission of CWC LA. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Grant Management:

Design and execute comprehensive grant management strategies aligned with our mission of educational excellence and equity
-
Lead compliance monitoring for private, federal and state, and local government grants
-
Develop and maintain grant tracking systems to track and measure grant performance and impact on student outcomes
-
Partner with school leaders to ensure effective implementation of funded programs
-
Create data visualizations tools for stakeholder reporting
-
Guide and train team members on expense tagging, required reporting and contracts administration and regulations
-
Abreast of new laws and proposed legislation, and interpret potential impact on current and future contracts and grants
Database Management:
-
Drive the evolution and optimization of our regional donor database system, Neon.
-
Establish and implement data management protocols for fundraising campaigns
-
Design and implement inclusive fundraising campaigns and events that engage our diverse community
-
Collaborate with CWC LA’s external finance team, ExED, team to maintain data integrity and manage all incoming funds
-
Partner with CWC Regional Data team to ensure annual accurate and timely integration of student and family data
-
Collaborate with Development team to successfully track and monitor giving over time
-
Support donation acknowledgements processes for school-based campaigns and events
Compliance Reporting:
-
Ensure all sources of public revenue including Title grants, state and federal grants are in compliance with all fund regulations
-
Prepare and submit reports and presentations for lenders, funders, authorizers and auditors
-
Liaise across teams and data systems to gather cross-functional insights and narratives
-
Ensures all required plans and notices are posted on websites and schools
-
Coordinate tours and visits for fiscal stakeholders
-
Manage Medi-cal services reimbursement process
-
Reconcile and tender special education claims with external stakeholders
-
Support tracking and management of special education funds such as Option 3
-
Support various departments with regulatory and compliance related reporting support as needed

Collaborate with the Manager of Community Giving and Engagement to manage CWC LA’s CRM and fundraising operations, including payment tracking and reporting

Other duties as assigned, including on-site school support
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and/or equivalent experience
-
3-5 years of experience in education-focused grant management, non-profit fundraising or related field, including:
-
Writing and/or managing private, federal, state, and local grants
-
Managing fundraising CRMs, events, and online fundraising platforms
-
Building collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholder groups
-
Thrived in fast-paced educational, non-profit, or social enterprise
-

Strategic Resource Management: Demonstrated ability to align funding opportunities with organizational goals and manage complex grant portfolios

Data Analysis & Systems Thinking: Skilled in leveraging data systems to drive decision-making and create efficient processes

Technical Proficiencies:

CRM systems (Neon or similar platforms)

Google Workspace or comparable

Basic design and website skills a plus

Strong quantitative analysis skills
